Assign and return equipment

Maintain who holds equipment and where returned equipment belongs.

Before you start

Asset Management enabled and assignment permissions.

Steps

1. Open the asset and inspect its current custody.
2. Use the assignment action to select the intended user.
3. Confirm the assignment and review the record.
4. When equipment comes back, use the return action and review the resulting stock location.

Expected result

The asset reflects its current custody and stock context.

Important behaviour

Assignment clears the stockroom association and remembers the previous stockroom. The return flow can restore that stockroom.
