Link assets to an incident

Identify equipment affected by the incident.

Before you start

Asset Management enabled and permission to access the incident and asset.

Steps

1. Open the incident asset section.
2. Search for and select the relevant asset.
3. Add the asset to the incident.
4. Review the linked equipment when investigating or recording repair context.

Expected result

The incident and the affected asset can be followed together.

Important behaviour

Asset linking does not require a CMDB merely because the record is equipment. CI-related actions require their own configuration prerequisites.
