PRACTICAL GUIDE

Navigate ServiceHub Home and choose the right action

Documentation verified 2026-10-20
Required access

Access to your organisation’s ServiceHub; tiles and channels depend on tenant setup.

ServiceHub is the requester workspace for reporting disruptions, requesting goods/access, finding published answers and following personal work. It uses shared Bourgos records while presenting a narrower, authorized view than the staff workspaces.

Before you start

Sign in to the correct tenant. Branding and actions are configured by your organisation. Ordinary users can view only their own authorized tickets and conversations; a direct link must not expose someone else's information.

Steps

  1. Search Home using a symptom, service name or error description. The search covers authorized Knowledge and your own tickets.
  2. Read active service announcements, noting the affected scope and stated period.
  3. Choose Incident for an unplanned disruption, a Catalog action for planned goods/access/services, or Request for Information for a question where that tile is configured.
  4. Use Popular Services shortcuts or All Catalog Items to find the specific action you need.
  5. Complete the in-portal form and confirm submission. Keep the resulting reference for follow-up.
  6. Review recent tickets or open My Tickets to track work. Use My Work for actions requiring your own participation.
  7. If human assistance is needed, open live chat when available and distinguish the conversation from any formal ticket created afterward.

Landing tiles and announcements

Four configured tile types are documented: Incident, Catalog Item, Request for Information and All Catalog Items. Labels and ordering vary. An administrator can configure routing, but an ordinary user does not select arbitrary internal assignment teams.

Announcements are Outage, Maintenance or Information notices. Read their scope rather than assuming they apply to every personal issue. Do not infer an exact restoration time unless one is stated, and do not treat the notice as proof your ticket is resolved.

Expected result

You choose an appropriate support action, avoid duplicate submissions and retain a clear path to follow-up.

Important behaviour

A missing tile or chat channel can be a tenant configuration choice. ServiceHub is not a technical CI editor or an administrator workspace. Published guidance, personal work and operational notices each have their own visibility and meaning.
