Use configuration relationships to understand possible affected services.

Before you start

Configuration Management enabled, CSM Full and relevant incident/CI permissions.

Steps

  1. Open the incident configuration and impact area.
  2. Select the primary and affected CIs that match the issue.
  3. Review the applicable impact context and linked service instances or offerings.
  4. Check environment consistency and supply an override justification when the configured policy permits it.

Expected result

The record contains configuration context relevant to investigation.

Important behaviour

Impact depends on configured relationship modes and settings. Relationships with no automatic impact do not propagate impact by default. Assignment routing and impact traversal are different mechanisms.
